Nous is a household AI agent that saves you money, time and hassle by taking care of bills and life admin – helping to shoulder the mental load and acting in your best interests.
Run by a UK-based team who believes in the power of technology to improve everyday life, we’re on a mission to make life simpler, fairer and cheaper for everyone. Learn more about us or get in touch at support@nous.co.
It’s easy. Tell Nous about your household and what you’d like help with. Connecting things like your bank account or email inbox helps Nous identify ways to save you money on bills, subscriptions, and handle all kinds of boring admin on your behalf.
While you get on with your day, Nous works in the background and keeps you posted on WhatsApp. You can ask it to sort something, reply with a question or let it know when plans change.
The more you connect, the smarter Nous gets. And the better Nous understands your household, the more it can take off your hands.
Saving money on bills is Nous’ super power, but it can take plenty of other life admin off your shoulders too. Try asking Nous things like:
🔍 When does my mobile contract run out?
📅 Add my dentist appointment to my calendar.
🛠️ Find a local plumber who can fix the drain.
🏆 What’s the best rated vacuum under £200?
📦 When is my Amazon order being delivered?
🎒 What are the kids’ half term dates?
If it makes your life easier, Nous is on hand to help.
You can use Nous for free for as long as you like. We hope to persuade you that it’s worth upgrading to a paid plan, but there’s no obligation to do so.
Premium costs £6.99 per household a month and includes unlimited services managed and household logins, subscription tracking, cash rewards and 24/7 agent support for your life admin (subject to a fair usage cap).
You can try Premium free for one month, with no card details required. Learn more about Nous pricing here
It’s easy to forget to renew a contract or check you’re on the best deal. With Nous keeping an eye on your household bills and looking for opportunities to save, you won’t have to remember renewals or spend your evenings comparing deals ever again (unless you really want to). It can also find recurring subscriptions and cancel any you no longer need.
If you’re using Nous Premium, you’ll also earn cash rewards on eligible switches. It can even help research purchases and chase refunds. And by handling other life admin for you, Nous saves you time as well as money.
Savings modes let you choose how much of the work that you want Nous to handle for you when it tries to save you money.
Not sure which mode is right for you? 80% of new Nous members start with Balanced mode. You can change your savings mode at any time in your household dashboard.
Yes. You choose what you want Nous to handle, and it works within the permissions you give it. You can adjust those permissions at any time.
You can also ask questions or let Nous know when your preferences change. It’s there to take work off your hands while keeping you in control.
It’s easy to forget when your energy contract ends or put off checking for a better deal. Nous keeps track for you, looks for opportunities to save and handles the hassle of switching.
We work with a select number of energy providers and recommend deals that suit your household’s needs. Savings can come from a cheaper tariff and, for Premium members, cash rewards. In some cases, the saving may come from rewards alone. We’ll explain where the saving comes from when we propose a deal.
Nous earns money from Premium subscriptions and commissions from providers when Free members switch to eligible deals. If you’re a Premium member, any commissions we receive will go back into your pocket as cash rewards.
You can use Nous Free for as long as you like, and there’s no obligation to upgrade. Learn more about Nous pricing here. As a certified B Corp, we’re committed to balancing profit with people and the planet. We don’t make money through advertising or selling your data. Read our privacy statement to find out more
Everyone who uses Nous gets the following features for one UK address for free:
Price comparison sites make all their money by recommending particular deals to new customers.
We think the right thing to do is to work directly for households, not suppliers. That keeps our interests aligned. So in building Nous Premium, we designed rewards to make sure any commissions we receive go back into our members’ pockets as cash rewards.
When Nous recommends a switch, it tells you how much you’ll save, including any cash rewards you'll earn. Cash rewards for switching accrue steadily (usually over a 12-month period) as long as you are still with the provider and remain a Nous Premium member. We’ll send you a monthly statement and you can log in at any time to view your available cash rewards balance. Your monthly statement includes details on any cash rewards earned, used or withdrawn. Any available cash rewards balance is available for you to withdraw.
If you cancel Premium, you keep the rewards you’ve already earned, but stop earning more. If you permanently close your Nous account, you’ll lose any rewards you haven’t withdrawn.
You can cancel Nous Premium at any time. There’s no minimum contract or exit fee (we hate those). Just email support@nous.co.
If you stop using Nous there’s no need to change providers and you’ll still have access to any tariffs we’ve switched you to. You’ll keep any cash rewards you’ve earned to date, and all direct savings.
Alongside finding a better tariff, reducing the energy you use can help bring your bills down. We’ve put together helpful tips and links to free resources, including the Energy Saving Trust, in our knowledge base, Nous Knows.
If you’re struggling to pay essential bills, you’re not alone. Nous Free can help you find savings and take some of the work out of managing your bills, but you may need urgent or specialist support beyond what we can offer.
Our cost-of-living resources page points you towards organisations that provide free, confidential assistance.
We believe that technology can improve everyday life, as long as it’s used to empower people. Trust matters most – not just from households, but from suppliers, policymakers and regulators too.
Our privacy statement explains what we do, and why we do it, without glossing over the important details, or counting on you glazing over.
Nous offers open banking enabled services through an FCA authorised and regulated open banking provider. We are also compliant with the ICO, the UK’s data privacy body. We never see or store your bank login details, your money can’t ever be moved or transferred, and we protect your data with 256-bit bank-grade encryption (the same level of security as your bank).
Nous combines AI with technology built specifically to handle household bills and admin. It uses large language models — the technology behind conversational AI — to understand your requests and help get things done. Given the nature of conversational AI technology, Nous learns from you over time, and may take a different paths to solving a problem every time you use it.
For specific and sensitive actions like changing an energy supplier or finding your cheaper car insurance, Nous uses rules-based logic: defined steps and checks that ensure it carries out tasks reliably and safely.
We think this combination -- chat technology for ease of interaction with robust fully tested systems when it comes to the things that count like managing your money -- brings together the benefits of AI with the safeguards needed when making consequential decisions.
It’s all designed to make everyday life simpler: you ask Nous for help in plain English, and it takes care of the work behind the scenes.
“Nous” means common sense or practical intelligence. You might say, “She used her nous to solve that problem.”
We like it because Nous gives your household a smarter way to get things done — saving you money, time and hassle along the way.
Not sure how it’s pronounced? Just rhyme it with “house”.
We’d love to hear from you. Email us at support@nous.co with any questions about Nous or your account.
If you’re already chatting with Nous on WhatsApp, you can also reply there to ask a question or get help with your household admin.
